Who were the original 13 states?

The original 13 states were primarily established along the east coast of what is now the United States and were the first colonies to break away from British rule. The states that comprised the original 13 included Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Georgia, which were part of the first group formed before the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
